Andie has been with Home Nursing Group since the end of 2015, and like many employees in the organisation, has excelled within the aged care profession by making the most of opportunities offered to enhance her career.

Confirmed Photo e1565167829215Andie is the Finance Manager of Home Nursing Group which covers the five satellite offices in Tamworth, Armidale, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie and Taree.

In her role, she is required to consult with the Chief of Business Officer, the Managing Director, and the external accountant in regards to all financial business and management accounting matters.

Before joining Home Nursing Group, Andie had been working in hospitality and the construction industry. When she applied for the position as Finance Manager, Andie was pregnant with her second child and thought that the role would be more suited to her changing lifestyle.

This was her first time working within aged care and she has enjoyed the challenge.

“I love working in a business that makes you feel valued. The finance team are great to work with and my managers have always been a fantastic support. I also enjoy working in a business that can teach you so much. I have learned a lot in respect of my own professional development, but also a lot from other teams in the business.”

With her growing family, Andie says that Home Nursing Group has been extremely flexible in allowing her to manage her personal and family commitments, while also allowing her to progress her career and further her education.

After losing two grandparents in the past five years, Andie has gained a new respect and appreciation for how home care can assist people. “They were very lucky to have had access to home care as well as the support of family and friends which allowed them to stay at home as long as they did”.

“To be able to be a part of a positive solution that supports people to continue their independence and remain in their own home for as long as possible, is an exceptional experience.”
